Hayley Orantia is an American actor, musician and acrobat. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy program "The Goldbergs". Although she's a singer, her primary passion is music. Music is the first passion she maintains; it is something she has dabbled in since she was only 9 years old. By the time she turned 12 years old, music was serious enough for her to begin professional training. When she was 13, she started creating songs. She recorded her debut album in the age of 14. Since then, she has not stopped ever since. Orrantia was born in the USA but she is a native of the United States with Hispanic origins. She's proud of her reality that she is a native of Hispanic origins, even though she was raised using English only, and did not live in Mexico. To keep her heritage alive she's enrolled in Spanish. Also, she writes songs that incorporate the Spanish language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," a song was recorded by her in Spanish. Orrantia tried out for The X Factor in 2011. Orrantia was chosen out of an YouTube video that she submitted and got 4 "yes" votes from judge during the live audition phase in Seattle, Washington. She initially auditioned for "Hollywood Week" in a one-on-one capacity. Three other female vocalists as well as her were put together to audition the rest of her songs. They were eliminated during the fifth week during the live show.
