Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. Her parents, however, did not permit her to perform until she turned an adult, for fear of the effects stress would have on their daughter. Perry claims she never wanted to perform in high school, but she decided to begin performing as a form of social interaction during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to it from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry relocated in New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought her back to California and she was able to find theatre work. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In 2015, she starred with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in the ABC drama The Family, in 2016. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. Also, she was cast on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The character was picked through an audition, even having a strong association with it.
